Experimental investigation and CFD simulation of horizontal air/water slug flow
TL;DR: In this article, a horizontal channel with rectangular cross-section was built at Forschungszentrum Rossendorf for the investigation of air/water slug flow, and a CFD simulation of the stratified cocurrent flow was performed using the code CFX-5, applying the Euler-Euler two fluid model with the free surface option.
Construction and execution of experiments at the multi-purpose thermal hydraulic test facility TOPFLOW for generic investigations of two-phase flows and the development and validation of CFD codes - Final report

Counter-current Flow Limitation Experiments in a Model of the Hot Leg of a Pressurised Water Reactor
TL;DR: In this paper, a model of the hot leg of a PWR was built at Forschungszentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (FZD), where experiments were performed during air/water counter-current flow before and around the onset of flooding.
Experimental investigation of stratified two-phase flows in the hot leg of a PWR for CFD validation
TL;DR: Geschichtete Zweiphasenstromungen wurden in zwei verschiedenen Modellen des heisen Strangs eines Druckwasserreaktors (DWR) untersucht, um experimentelle Daten fur die Entwicklung and Validierung of CFD-Codes (computational fluid dynamics) bereitzustellen as discussed by the authors.
