TL;DR: The CBA young people questionnaire as discussed by the authors is made up of a series of sentences describing subjects' personal history, habits, experiences, emotions, and points of view, which allow deep reflection on the topics presented.
Abstract: Publisher Summary A group of Italian researchers pooled their efforts to develop self-reports suitable for the Italian cultural context. The CBA (Cognitive Behavioral Assessment) project was the result of these common efforts and the battery and software called CBA 2.0 is the most representative product. This chapter discusses the version of CBA for young people, called “CBA Forma Giovani” (CBAG), designed to identify in good time subjects who may develop disturbances in the future or enact behavior harmful to themselves and others. The CBA young people questionnaire is made up of a series of sentences describing subjects' personal history, habits, experiences, emotions, and points of view. The items are organized by subject matter and allow deep reflection on the topics presented. Response modalities are very simple. There are neither scales with more than one level of agreement, nor the common “true” or “false” responses. Subjects simply choose the statements that fit them best. The data obtained calls for more attention to be paid to the phenomenon of HIV, particularly among young drug addicts. Many seropositive people are no longer drug addicts but are simply people who have discovered a painful new challenge with which they have to deal.
