Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal behaviour of malonic acid, sodium malonate and its compounds with some bivalent transition metal ions

TL;DR: In this article, the properties of solid-state M(L)2·nH2O compounds were investigated employing elemental analysis based on the mass losses observed in the TG-DTA curves, complexometry, X-ray diffractometry, infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), simultaneous thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis (TG−DTA) and TG-DSC coupled to FTIR.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermogravimetric and spectroscopic study (TG–DTA/FT–IR) of activated carbon from the renewable biomass source babassu

TL;DR: In this paper, activated carbons (ACs) with well-developed microstructure and high microporosity were obtained from biomass by potassium hydroxide activation, and the preparation process consisted in producing carbon materials in the ratios of activating agent to raw material 70:30, 50:50, 30:70 and 25:75 (w/w).
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal behaviour of fumaric acid, sodium fumarate and its compounds with light trivalent lanthanides in air atmosphere

TL;DR: In this paper, the thermal decomposition of light trivalent lanthanide fumarates was investigated employing simultaneous thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), TG-FTIR techniques, elemental analysis and complexometry.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal behaviour of succinic acid, sodium succinate and its compounds with some bivalent transitions metal ions in dynamic N2 and CO2 atmospheres

TL;DR: In this article, simultaneous thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA) in nitrogen and carbon dioxide atmospheres and TG-FTIR in nitrogen atmosphere were investigated.
