Journal ArticleDOI

Diversidade de Scarabaeinae (Coleoptera, Scarabaeidae) coletados com armadilha de interceptação de vôo no Refúgio Ecológico Charles Darwin, Igarassu-PE, Brasil

TL;DR: The species accumulation curve, based on average richness values for the two environments at CDER, did not show tendency to assintote, and estimators indicate a maximum richness of 21 species for the open environment and 32 Species for the forest.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of the dung beetle (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) community at two sites: Atlantic forest and clear-cut, Pernambuco, Brazil.

TL;DR: A positive correlation was observed between monthly rainfall and total abundance of individuals for the clear-cut area but not for the forest habitat, which contributes to a better understanding of Scarabaeinae ecology in the Atlantic rainforest of northeastern Brazil.
Journal ArticleDOI

Changes in the dung beetle community in response to restinga forest degradation

TL;DR: It is suggested that parts of the CR become areas under legal protection, in order to maintain the biodiversity of the remaining areas of restinga, and to ensure that few species from the original ecosystem remain in degraded sites.
