Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of dihydrodehydrodiconiferyl alcohol and derivatives through intramolecular C–H insertion

TL;DR: In this paper, the natural dihydrobenzofuran neolignan 1 and its derivative 3 have been prepared through intramolecular C-H insertion catalyzed by a Rh(II) chiral complex.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ti-catalyzed homolytic opening of ozonides: a sustainable C-C bond-forming reaction.

TL;DR: The unprecedented homolytic opening of ozonides promoted and catalyzed by titanocene(III) is reported and has been advantageously exploited for the straightforward synthesis of the natural product brittonin A.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cytotoxicity screening of several tomato extracts.

TL;DR: The cytotoxic effects of extracts of the tomato variety "Racimo" have been evaluated through the use of the 3-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay, which indicates that tomato extracts act selectively on HT-29 tumor cells and indicates the importance of carotenoid consumption on colon tumor proliferation and prevention.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solvent influence in the Rh-catalyzed intramolecular 1,6 C–H insertions: a general approach to the chromane and flavanone skeletons

TL;DR: In this paper, the best conditions for the preparation of flavanones and chromenes through this approach were explored, and the procedure is also an excellent way of preparing stereochemically pure Z aryl-alkenes.
Journal ArticleDOI

A convenient cross-metathesis approach to trisporins

TL;DR: In this paper, three series of trisporins have been prepared using a strategy in which a cross-metathesis is the key step, allowing the combination of α- or β-ionone derivatives having a 1,1-disustituted olefin with trisubstituted alkenes.
