Book ChapterDOI
Origin and utilization of rust resistance in groundnut.
TL;DR: Rust resistance in groundnut fits neither typical race-specific nor race-non-specific patterns and appears to be an intermediate type falling in the continuum of these two extreme types.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of new sources of resistance to rust and late leaf spot in peanut
TL;DR: The characteristic features of these sources of resistance are described, and two genotypes showed high level of resistance to late leaf spot, but were only moderately resistant to rust.
Journal ArticleDOI
Registration of ICGV 87165 Peanut Germplasm Line with Multiple Resistance
TL;DR: A high-yielding peanut with multiple disease and insect resistance, and moderate resistance to bacterial wilt, leaf miner, and tobacco caterpillar are studied.
Standardization of a Protocol to Screen for Salinity Tolerance in Groundnut

TL;DR: Results showed that 100-125 mM of NaCl was suitable to screen for salinity tolerance in groundnut and reduction in leaf size and stem/leaf ratio was observed in response to salinity, indicating arrest of leaf expansions, which eventually limits the area available for photosynthesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Photosensitivity of urediniospore germination in Puccinia arachidis
TL;DR: Light inhibited germination of Puccinia arachidis urediniospore germination but had no adverse effect on germ-tube elongation of pregerminated u rediniospores.
