A Reflective, Processed-Kaolin Particle Film Affects Fruit Temperature, Radiation Reflection, and Solar Injury in Apple

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of particle film treatments on apple (Malus sylvestris (L.) Mill var domestica (Borkh.) Mansf.) fruit temperature and the incidence of solar injury was evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Progress Toward Liquid Formulations of Particle Films for Insect and Disease Control in Pear

TL;DR: It is found that prior seasonal applications of particle films in 1997 can carry over into the 1998 season to suppress early season pear psylla oviposition and a shift from hydrophobic to hydrophilic particles makes it possible to more easily formulate and disperse the particles in water so that conventional spray equipment can be used.
Journal ArticleDOI

Particle Film Application Influences Apple Leaf Physiology, Fruit Yield, and Fruit Quality

TL;DR: Results indicate that particle film technology is an effective tool in reducing heat stress in apple trees that may result in increased yield potential and quality.
Journal ArticleDOI

Aquaculture sludge removal and stabilization within created wetlands

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated solids removal and stabilization in two types of created wetlands where water flowed either vertically, down through a porous substrate; or horizontally, over soil and through plant hedges.
