Siltation of Australian reservoirs: some observations and dam safety implications

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of reservoir siltation on dam safety are analysed in terms of dam safety. But the authors focus on the cases of thin concrete structures and assume that the tested concrete strength could be less than twice the load, and the safety of the dam becomes questionable.

A Study of Extreme Reservoir Siltation in Australia

TL;DR: The causes of reservoir siltation are summarized and discussed in this paper, and the Australian experience is further compared with the extreme reservoir Siltation experienced in the UK by 15 silted reservoirs.

Cement by the Barrel and Cask
