Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, characterization and antibacterial activity of some new pyrazole based Schiff bases
TL;DR: Compounds 3f and 3c have exhibited significant biological activity against the tested microorganisms.
Journal ArticleDOI
Incidence of Subclinical Mastitis and Prevalence of Major Mastitis Pathogens in Organized Farms and Unorganized Sectors
Raveendra Hegde,Shrikrishna Isloor,K. Nithin Prabhu,Bibek Ranjan Shome,Doddamane Rathnamma,V V S Suryanarayana,S. Yatiraj,C. Renuka Prasad,N. Krishnaveni,S. Sundareshan,D.S. Akhila,Amitha R. Gomes,Nagendra R. Hegde +12 more
TL;DR: Bacteria were isolated irrespective of the density of somatic cells or the type of farm setting, and the frequency of isolation of CoNS was higher with organized farms, suggesting the requirement for fine tuning SCC and EC limits and the higher probability for CoNS to be associated with SCM in organized diary sectors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phenotypic & genotypic study of antimicrobial profile of bacteria isolates from environmental samples
Santhosh Kogaluru Shivakumaraswamy,Vijaya Kumar Deekshit,Rajeshwari Vittal,D.S. Akhila,Dechamma Muthappa Mundanda,Juliet Roshini Mohan Raj,Anirban Chakraborty,Indrani Karunasagar +7 more
TL;DR: This study showed high rate of occurrence of antimicrobial resistance and their determinants in Gram-negative bacteria isolated from different environmental sources.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antisense RNA mediated protection from white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) infection in Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei
TL;DR: Antisense plasmid constructs used to target genes VP28, VP39 and wsv477 of white spot syndrome virus in the Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei produced statistically superior protection against WSSV, both alone and in combination.
Journal ArticleDOI
Biofilm Formation and Associated Gene Expression in Multidrug-Resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae Isolated from Clinical Specimens
Priyanka Ashwath,Vijaya Kumar Deekshit,Anusha Rohit,I. Dhinakaran,Iddya Karunasagar,Indrani Karunasagar,D.S. Akhila +6 more
TL;DR: The antibiotic resistance pattern, antibiotic resistance determinants of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) family, and biofilm-associated genes of representative biofilm formers from a tertiary care hospital were evaluated.
