Fully Actuated System Approaches: Theory and Applications

This paper investigates the disturbance utilization-based attitude control for the fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The disturbance utilization condition (DUC) is formed based on the Lyapunov function analysis to retain the disturbance that benefits the stability of closed-loop systems. To reduce the sign-misjudgment of disturbance coupling terms induced by the DUC, the disturbance estimation error analysis auxiliary system (DEEAAS) is designed based on the disturbance observer (DO). Combined with the DEEAAS and the DO, the boundaries of the disturbance estimation error (DEE) are derived. Subsequently, the composite DUC is proposed based on the above boundaries and the given thresholds to replace the basic DUC. Then, the boundedness of the attitude tracking errors of the fixed-wing UAV can be ensured by the controller designed with the composite DUC. And combined with the derived boundaries of the DEE and the given thresholds, the adaptive DO and the adaptive DEEAAS are also designed to avoid the use of big parameters. In addition, sufficient conditions that stabilize the attitude closed-loop system of fixed-wing UAVs equipped with the disturbance utilization-based controller (DUBC) are given. Finally, the numerical simulation for the fixed-wing UAV illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed DUBC.

Adaptive Neural Network Control of Thermoacoustic Instability in Rijke Tube: A Fully Actuated System Approach

This article investigates the event-triggered multisource bumpless transfer (MSBT) control problem of networked switched systems (NSSs) with the almost output regulation (AOR) performance subject to switching deception attacks (SDAs). First, an improved dwell-time approach is developed to derive a proper switching law and ensure the feasibility of the AOR for NSSs allowing the AOR of each subsystem unsolvable and some switching instants destabilizing (i.e., with Lyapunov function increments), where destabilizing and stabilizing switching instants are subsystem independent. Second, a novel description of deception attacks called SDAs is established that contains multiple attack functions switching based on the currently activated subsystem, which considers the characteristics of NSSs and can cause the most severe damage to system control performance. Due to the networks and the event-triggered scheme, the switching of SDAs does not coincide with the switching of subsystems and controllers, which pose a challenge to system analysis. Third, MSBT controllers are designed to suppress the control bumps induced by multiple sources, including asynchronous controller switching, event-triggering mechanism, and SDAs. Finally, an application to a switched resistance–inductor–capacitance circuit is given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Event-Triggered Multisource Bumpless Transfer Control for Networked Switched Systems With Almost Output Regulation Against Switching Deception Attacks

This article addresses the problems of dissipativity analysis and feedback dissipativity of discrete-time switched positive systems with time-varying delay. On the basis of the positivity property of the investigated system, the definition of linear <inline-formula> <tex-math notation="LaTeX">$(q,r) - \alpha $ </tex-math></inline-formula>-dissipativity, utilizing the linear copositive storage functionals with linear supply rates, is first introduced. The switching among subsystems is orchestrated by a state-dependent switching policy that obeys prespecified dwell-time constraints. Second, in order to reduce the conservatism brought by the identical summation term functional for all positive subsystems, we propose a dwell-time-dependent linear copositive storage functionals involving summation terms which are diverse appearing in the functional. Then, less conservative criteria are developed to guarantee the system is strict <inline-formula> <tex-math notation="LaTeX">$(q,r) - \alpha $ </tex-math></inline-formula>-dissipativity by resorting to the switching policy or the joint implementation of the switching policy and time-varying controllers for subsystems. Finally, the validity of the proposed techniques is illustrated through two examples, and the relationship among the minimum dwell time, performance index, and time-varying delay is also revealed.

Dissipativity for Discrete-Time Switched Positive Delay Systems: A Dwell-Time-Dependent Linear Copositive Storage Functional Method

To solve the horizontal speed of shear blade demanded strictly maintain synchronous speed with plank in shear zone, a feedforward compensation controller including sliding mode controller is proposed as the velocity controller to improve the system performance, which has the merit of the small chattering and good robustness. The simulation shows that this method improve dynamics and robustness of system effectively despite of load abrupt change and system parameter change.
