Evaluation of aquifer potential, geoelectric and hydraulic parameters in Ezza North, southeastern Nigeria, using geoelectric sounding

TL;DR: A geoelectric survey involving vertical electrical sounding (VES) employing Schlumberger electrode configuration was carried out with the aim of evaluating the aquifer potential, electric and hydraulic parameters in Ezza North as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of aquifer protective capacity of overburden unit and soil corrosivity in Makurdi, Benue state, Nigeria, using electrical resistivity method

TL;DR: In this article, the results of 30 vertical electrical soundings carried out in Makurdi, Benue state capital, north-central Nigeria to evaluate aquifer protective capacity and soil corrosivity of overburden units in the study area were presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Geoelectrohydraulic parameters of shallow sandy aquifer in Itu, Akwa Ibom State (Nigeria) using geoelectric and hydrogeological measurements

TL;DR: In this article, the results obtained from integrated borehole-constrained geophysical analyses and interpretations, in situ measurements on water samples and laboratory analyses of aquifer units were employed in estimating the basic geoelectrohydraulic parameters such as formation factor, porosity, tortuosity, coefficient of permeability, bulk and interface conductivities.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation of litho-textural characteristics of aquifer in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu state, southeastern Nigeria

TL;DR: In this paper, electrical resistivity data were employed to study the litho-textural characteristics of aquifer in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State, southeastern Nigeria, in order to identify the variation and the interrelationship between the aquifer hydraulic parameters.
Journal ArticleDOI

A case study of aeromagnetic data interpretation of Nsukka area, Enugu State, Nigeria, for hydrocarbon exploration

TL;DR: In this paper, the aeromagnetic data of Nsukka area was interpreted qualitatively and quantitatively using standard Euler deconvolution, Source Parameter Imaging (SPI), Forward and Inverse modeling techniques were employed in quantitative interpretation with the aim of determining depth/thickness of the sedimentary Basin, magnetic susceptibilities and type of mineralization prevalent in the area.
