Outcome of coronavirus spectrum infections (SARS, MERS, COVID-19) during pregnancy: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Daniele Di Mascio,Asma Khalil,Gabriele Saccone,Giuseppe Rizzo,Danilo Buca,Marco Liberati,Jacopo Vecchiet,Luigi Nappi,Giovanni Scambia,Vincenzo Berghella,Francesco D'Antonio +10 more
TL;DR: Pregnancy and perinatal outcomes of Coronavirus (CoV) spectrum infections, and particularly COVID-19 disease due to SARS-COV-2 infection during pregnancy were reported, including miscarriage, preterm birth, pre-eclampsia, pre term prelabor rupture of membranes, fetal growth restriction, and mode of delivery.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rates of Maternal and Perinatal Mortality and Vertical Transmission in Pregnancies Complicated by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-Co-V-2) Infection: A Systematic Review.
Benjamin J. F. Huntley,Erin S Huntley,Daniele Di Mascio,Tracy Chen,Vincenzo Berghella,Suneet P. Chauhan +5 more
TL;DR: With data from early in the pandemic, it is reassuring that there are low rates of maternal and neonatal mortality and vertical transmission with SARS-CoV-2.
Journal ArticleDOI
Exercise during pregnancy in normal-weight women and risk of preterm birth: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
Daniele Di Mascio,Elena Rita Magro-Malosso,Gabriele Saccone,Gregary D. Marhefka,Vincenzo Berghella +4 more
TL;DR: Aerobic exercise for 35-90 minutes 3-4 times per week during pregnancy can be safely performed by normal-weight women with singleton, uncomplicated gestations because this is not associated with an increased risk of preterm birth or with a reduction in mean gestational age at delivery.
Journal ArticleDOI
Labor and delivery guidance for COVID-19
Rupsa C. Boelig,Tracy A. Manuck,Emily A. Oliver,Daniele Di Mascio,Gabriele Saccone,F. Bellussi,Vincenzo Berghella +6 more
TL;DR: This document addresses the current coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic for providers and patients in labor and delivery (L&D) to provide guidance regarding methods to appropriately screen and test pregnant patients for CO VID-19 prior to, and at admission to L&D.
Journal ArticleDOI
Maternal and Perinatal Outcomes of Pregnant Women with SARS-COV-2 infection.
TL;DR: SARS-COV-2 in pregnant women is associated with 0.8% rate of maternal mortality, but 11.1%" rate of admission to ICU, and the risk of vertical transmission seems to be negligible.
