Journal ArticleDOI
Guest Editorial Special Issue on Optical Interconnects
TL;DR: The articles in this special section focus on optical interconnects, and present the most recent developments in this field with extensiveness and depth, while ensuring the inclusion of the highest quality work.

Temperature-controlled optical modulator
TL;DR: In this paper, a SiGe quantum well with Kane-like bands at and near k = 0 is provided. But the quantum well barrier composition may or may not have Kanelike bands.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Optical interconnect operation with high noise immunity
TL;DR: In this article, the authors demonstrate the operation of an entire chip-to-chip optical link with modulators and electrically differential receivers quantifying the effect of supply and substrate noise.
Book ChapterDOI
The time-dependent Schrödinger equation
TL;DR: In this article, a time-independent extension of Schrodinger's equation was proposed for the problem of finding stationary states of a harmonic oscillator with definite energy, where the oscillator had a definite energy.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Plasmonic Waveguides as Transmission Lines
TL;DR: In this paper, simple transmission line models can describe mode propagation in plasmonic waveguides, and the simulation results agree very well with the impedance model predictions. But they do not consider the metal behavior at near-infrared compared to microwaves.
