Energy harvesting from mechanical vibrations using piezoelectric cantilever beams

TL;DR: In this paper, a design methodology for an energy harvesting device is investigated and results will be presented to validate the design, which is used to convert small amplitude mechanical vibration from a specific machine application into an electrical energy source that could be used for electronic devices with low power requirements.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Tunable Piezoelectric Cantilever Beams for Energy Harvesting

TL;DR: In this article, a model for a three layered piezoelectric cantilever beam utilizing a shunt tuning circuit was presented, and the effects of additional harvesting and tuning layers have on the amount of tuning and generated power in the beam.

Energy Harvesting from a Vibrating Piezoelectric Unimorph Bender

TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss base excitation in the context of Korean-English communication and discuss how to use it in order to improve the quality of the communication between two parties.
