Journal ArticleDOI

The coagulation, solubility and adsorption properties of Fe, Mn, Cu, Ni, Cd, Co and humic acids in a river water

TL;DR: In this paper, the results demonstrate that solubilities and adsorption properties of certain trace metals in freshwaters can be opposite to those observed with artificial solutions or predicted with chemical models.
Journal ArticleDOI

The chemistry of suspended matter in Esthwaite Water, a biologically productive lake with seasonally anoxic hypolimnion

TL;DR: In this article, ten detailed vertical water column profiles were taken between April and November, 1979, in Esthwaite Water (English Lake district), a lake with high biological productivity and a seasonally anoxic hypolimnion.
Journal ArticleDOI

The major-element chemistry of suspended particles in the north basin of windermere

TL;DR: In this paper, detailed vertical profiles were taken in the north basin of lake Windermere between July and November 1980, and measurements were made of temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, total suspended load and the major-element composition (organic C, Al, Fe, Mn, Si, S, P, Ca, Mg, Ba and K) of suspended particles.
