Determination of station coordinates from Lageos

TL;DR: In this paper, the coordinates of all eight stations were derived from this data set and the preliminary estimate of the overall accuracy of 50 cm in each coordinate was given. But these results are in general agreement at about the 30 cm level with other results obtained from laser tracking of the Beacon Explorer C.

Satellite‐Satellite Tracking for Estimating Geopotential Coefficients

TL;DR: In this paper, a simulation study of the tracking of low-altitude satellites by a high altitude satellite using range measurements between the two satellites is carried out, and it is shown that satellite-to-satellite tracking is considerably more accurate than using ground-based tracking.
