Progress in Laser-Driven Ion Acceleration towards Applications in Radiotherapy
TL;DR: The UK ASAIL laser-ion acceleration program aims to advance laser-driven ion beams to the point at which they will become a serious alternative to conventional accelerators for radiotherapy.
High-order alloharmonics produced by nonperiodic drivers
M. S. Pirozhkova,Koichi Ogura,Akito Sagisaka,T. Zh. Esirkepov,A. Ya. Faenov,S. A. Pikuz,Hideyuki Kotaki,Yukio Hayashi,Yuji Fukuda,James K. TL;DR: In this paper , a comprehensive theory based on interference of high-order harmonics with different orders was proposed to explain the formation of these fringes, which are called alloharmonics.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors report on the generation of bright multi-keV betatron X-ray radiation using a GeV laser wakefield accelerator and investigate the use of these X-rays for various imaging applications.

Diagnostics of Laser-Plasma Interactions
David Neely,Tim Goldsack +1 more
TL;DR: The field of laser-plasma diagnostics is large, and is certainly too big to be covered fully in a short article as mentioned in this paper, so we concentrate on a number of diagnostics which are of relevance to two areas of significant current interest, namely (1) relativistic laserplasma interactions, and (2) hohlraum-driven inertial confinement fusion.
