Mobile communication network has brought us great convenience. However, network security issues are outstanding increasingly. Authentication is the most essential procedure for preventing illegitimate, unauthorized or insecure devices from making access to the network. Tang and Wu proposed an efficient mobile authentication scheme for wireless networks, and claimed the scheme can effectively defend all known attacks to mobile networks including the denial-of-service attack. This paper strengthens the security of the scheme by authenticating the identity of visited location register such that any adversary cannot obtain the communication key between a mobile user and a service provider, or prevent them from establishing this key. An improvement is proposed to remedy these flaws. Our design is a less strong requirement for a mobile user MS in the communication cost than that of Tang and Wu's. An Improvement on An Efficient Mobile Authentication Scheme for Wireless Networks

Due to the fact that the development of Chinese aviation industry has slowed down since the world financial crisis in 2008, how to evaluate the airline profitability improvements has become a key issue. Many mathematical methods can be applied in comprehensive evaluations, but the different focal points of these methods and the choice of methods may lead to different evaluation results, even if they are based on the same data. Both the theory and methods to evaluate the profitability of the airlines need to be developed and improved. Therefore, in order to evaluate airlinemanagement and performance, this paper presents a new approach to evaluate the Chinese aviation industry and applies towards the evaluation of 12 listed airlines and airports in the Chinese Hushen stock market. This approach overcomes the one-sidedness of a single method and obtains more comprehensive, realistic and objective results.

Evaluating Profitability Based on Integrated Method: A Case Study of Chinese Listed Airlines and Airports

Abstract With the increasing economic development and gradual opening of China’s aviation market, the Chinese aviation industry is experiencing rapid growth and is facing some problems at the same time. Many scholars have assessed the profitability of the Chinese aviation industry using a single assessment approach. Both theory and methods in assessing the profitability of the airlines need to be developed and improved. This article presents a new integrated approach – a combination of factor analysis, principal component analysis, and gray relational analysis. Based on the theory of decision making and data mining, this more reasonable and effective model overcomes the one-sidedness and limitations of the individual methods and has significant impact in theory and practice.
