Background : Malnutrition is a problem that occurs in several Indonesian provinces. West Papua Province is one of the provinces where malnutrition occurs. The high incidence of malnutrition will play an important role in human resources so that it will have a major impact on the low generation of the nation in West Papua Province. This study aims to determine the risk factors for malnutrition in West Papua Province. Methods : This study uses a secondary analysis of 2018 Basic Health Research data in West Papua Province. The number of samples in this study were 159 babies aged 0-23 months. Measurements using anthropometry with weight /age. Data analysis used cross tabulation descriptive analysis. Results : The results of this study showed that there were 107 infants under two years of age who suffered from malnutrition (16.7%) and infants under two years of age who had normal nutrition as many as 534 babies (83.3%). There was no significant difference between sex and age of malnourished infants. There was a relationship between the education of the head of the household (p <0.001), the occupation of the head of the household and the incidence of malnutrition among infants in West Papua Province. Conclusion : Malnutrition cases occur in infants under two years of age with sociodemographic conditions with low education of the head of the household, the head of the household does not work, and lives in rural areas. Health workers in West Papua Province must be more intense in educating heads of households with low education and low income about dietary consumption and parenting patterns in order to reduce the incidence of malnutrition in infants under two years of age.

Hypertension is a disease that suffered by many people in the world, including in Indonesia. Patients with hypertension must make a diet to consume foods that can increase the sufferer's blood pressure. A hypertension diet is one of the important factors in maintaining the health of hypertension sufferers to prevent disease complications. This study aimed to analysis family support, and compliance with hypertension diet in hypertensive sufferers. This study used a cross-sectional design conducted in the Hulu Village of Pancur Batu Public Health Center, Deli Serdang Regency. The sample size in this study was the entire population, namely hypertension sufferers. Sample (saturated sample), so that the total sample is 108 people. This study will conduct a Prevalent Rate (PR) analysis to see the risk of dietary adherence in hypertensive patients. This study showed family support in the category of bad as many as 85 people (78.7%), the implementation of hypertension diet in the non-compliant category as many as 76 people (70.4%) and adhered to the implementation of hypertension diet as many as 32 people (29.6%). of avoided foodstuffs (hypertension triggers) it is known that for this type of foods high in cholesterol is (a) grilled/boiled meat, which is as much as 76 people (70.4%), (b) meat or chicken skin, which is as much as 55 people (50.9%), and (c) chicken yolks, which is as many as 67 people (62.0%). The type of food high in Sodium is; chips, which is as many as 55 people (50.9%). Pancur Batu Public Health office, seeks to increase counselling about hypertension diet, namely recommended foodstuffs, restricted foodstuffs, avoided foodstuffs and carried out continuously in place and the right time. Families to increase knowledge about the primary prevention of hypertensive diseases so that they can conduct prevention independently and provide motivation (support) to hypertension sufferers to implement the hypertensive diet

Aktivitas fisik dan konsumsi makanan asin merupakan salah satu faktor yang berkaitan dengan kejadian hipertensi. Masyarakat yang banyak mengkonsumsi makanan asin dan memiliki aktivitas fisik yang kurang akan beresiko tereka hipertensi lebih besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran aktivitas fisik, konsumsi makanan asin dan kejadian hipertensi berdasarkan sosial budaya masyarakat pesisir di Kota Medan tahun 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi cross-sectional. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat Kelurahan Belawan II yang berjumlah 90 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner Riskesdas 2018. Penelitian ini menyajikan data distribusi frekuensi dan tabulasi silang antara aktifitas fisik dan konsumsi makan dengan kejadian hipertensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas subjek dalam penelitian ini mengalami hipertensi adalah usia dewasa (25-59 tahun) sebanyak 66 orang, subjek penelitian yang melakukan aktifitas fisik sedang sebanyak 67 orang, konsumsi makanan asin sering (≥1 kali sehari) sebanyak 40 orang. Mayoritas subjek dalam penelitian ini mengalami hipertensi jarang mengonsumsi makanan asin dan melakukan aktivitas fisik sedang (20,9%). Diharapkan kepada masyarakat pesisir Belawan untuk melakukan pola hidup sehat dengan mengurangi konsumsi makanan asin serta sering melakukan aktivitas fisik dalam sehari. Petugas puskesmas juga diharapkan rutin melakukan pengecekan kadar tekanan darah serta sering memberikan edukasi tentang hipertensi pada masyarakat pesisir Kota Medan.

Aktifitas Fisik, Konsumsi Makanan Asin dan Kejadian Hipertensi Masyarakat Pesisir Kota Medan

Pendahuluan: prevalensi hipertensi berdasarkan hasil pengukuran pada penduduk usia 18 tahun sebesar 34,1%. Prevalensi hipertensi di Propinsi Sumatera Utara mencapai 6.7% dari seluruh penduduk di Sumatera Utara. Obesitas menjadi salah satu faktor risiko hipertensi yang perlu diwaspadai. Status obesitas dapat diketahui dengan melakukan pengukuran IMT (Indeks Massa Tubuh) sedangkan untuk obesitas sentral dapat diketahui melalui pengukuran LP (Lingkar Pinggang) dan RLPTB (Rasio Lingkar Pinggang Tinggi Badan). Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif dan uji diagnostik menggunakan tabel 2x2. Serta desain penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara simple random sampling didapatkan sampel sebanyak 80 responden dari total populasi 387. Penelitian dilakukan pada 23 Juni s/d 15 Juli 2019. Lokasi yang dijadikan penelitian ini adalah Desa Kwala begumit kecamatan Stabat dan di lakukan dalam satu dusun yaitu dusun Sido waras. Hasil: hasil yang didapat pada kelompok umur 38-47 paling banyak penderita hipertensi sebanyak 15 responden dan jenis kelamin perempuan paling banyak menderita hipertensi. Didapatkan nilai sensitivitas dari titik potong 0,47 sebagai prediktor kejadian hipertensi pada laki-laki dewasa sebesar 87% dan nilai spesifisitas sebesar 60%. Serta didapatkan nilai sensitivitas dari titik potong 0,50 sebagai predictor kejadian hipertensi pada perempuan dewasa sebesar 96% dan nilai spesifisitas sebesar 54%. Kesimpulan: nilai sensitivitas dan spesifisitas tinggi hal ini bahwa titik potong RLPTB 0.40 dan 0.50 cukup mumpuni dijadikan sebagai alat deteksi dini. Sensitivitas Dan Spesifisitas Titik Potong RLPTB Sebagai Prediktor Kejadian Hipertensi Pada Orang Dewasa di Dusun Sido Waras Desa Kwala Begumit

Obesity is a problem of excessive fat accumulation and has a serious effect on health. The prevalence of overweight and obesity are in the children to increase significantly in the world. The objectives of this research are to analyze the relationships between teacher’s role and nutrient intake with obesity in elementary school student at Medan Maimun Sub-district. The research design uses a cross-sectional study, has taken location at Elementary School in Medan Maimun sub-district.  Samples were taken by simple random sampling of 120 students. Data were collected by using questionnaires, form food recall 2x24 hours, and BMI for age. Data analyzed using Chi-Square test. The result showed as 22,5% children were obese; the teacher’s role were majority low (75%),  and energy intake is under intake level Recommended Daily Allowance (55%). Bivariate analysis showed there is relation between teacher’s role with obesity (p=0 . 008), energy intake (p=0 . 007) and fat intake (p=0 . 038) with obesity. Intake of protein (p=0.739) and carbohydrate (p=0.540) are not related with obesity. The management of obesity in children is recommended to change children’s diet and lifestyle with family and teachers support at school .

Remaja seringkali mengalami masalah terhadap status gizinya karena dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, antara lain penerapan mengenai kebiasaan makan yang buruk tanpa mengetahui zat gizi yang terkandung dalam makanan yang dikonsumsinya, pemahaman gizi yang keliru yang dipicu oleh keinginan remaja memiliki tubuh yang langsing, kesukaan yang berlebihan terhadap jenis makanan tertentu sehingga kebutuhan gizinya tidak dapat terpenuhi dengan baik. Penelitian ii bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kebiasan makan, body image , dan status gizi remaja putri di SMK N 2 Sibolga. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah proportional stratified random sampling dengan jumlah sampel adalah 90 orang yang merupakan remaja putri. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menilai frekuensi makan dengan kuesioner, jenis makanan, menghitung asupan gizi dengan menggunakan metode food recall 24 jam. Status gizi dihitung dengan IMT/U. Body image diukur dengan menggunakan metode Figure Rating Scale (FRS). Berat badan siswi diukur menggunakan timbangan dan tinggi badan siswi menggunakan microtoise . Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagin besar kebiasaan makan dalam kategori baik sebanyak 98,0%, jenis makanan siswi 63,3% tidak beragam, konsumsi energi 95,6% tidak sesuai AKG, konsumsi protein 71,1% tidak sesuai AKG, konsumsi lemak 87,8% tidak sesuai AKG, dan konsumsi karbohidrat 91,1% tidak sesuai AKG. Body image negatif sebesar 56,7%.  Status gizi siswi kurus 5,6%, gemuk 14,4%, dan obesitas 5,6%. Siswi diharapkan lebih memerhatikan kebiasaan makannya dengan cara menerapkan pola makan sesuai dengan Pedoman Gizi Seimbang. Sekolah sebaiknya bekerjasama dengan puskesmas untuk melakukan penyuluhan mengenai berat badan dan tinggi badan yang normal sesuai umur,  sehingga siswi tidak salah merepresentasikan status gizinya sendiri, yang menyebabkan siswi memiliki persepsi body image negatif. Kebiasaan makan, body image dan status gizi remaja putri

The Family Planning Program (FPP) is one of the strategies carried out by the government to suppress the increase in population growth. Unfortunately, women of reproductive age (WRA) often stop participating in FPP or drop it out, unaware of increasing the risk of conception. This study uses secondary data from the 2017 IDHS for 945 WRAs who have used modern FPP methods. It uses cross-tabulation to determine the distribution of husbands' approval regarding the FPP method, wanting more children, side effects of family planning, the role of family planning service providers, and the incidence of dropping out of FPP in North Sumatra Province. The results indicated that 238 out of 707 WRAs (25.8%) dropped out of FPP. The FPP dropping out in North Sumatra Province mostly occurred to WRAs who experienced side effects of FPP methods (238 WRAs) and who changed their minds to want more children (67 WRAs). The BKKBN of North Sumatra Province must provide training to FPP service providers on the side effects of the methods to improve their counseling skills, which must be used properly to serve the WRAs before they decide to use contraceptives.
