A Randomized Comparison of Transradial Versus Transfemoral Approach for Coronary Angiography and Angioplasty
Martin Brueck,Dirk Bandorski,Wilfried Kramer,Marcus Wieczorek,Reinhard Höltgen,Harald Tillmanns +5 more
TL;DR: The findings of the present study show that transradial coronary angiography and angioplasty are safe, feasible, and effective with similar results to those of the transfemoral approach, however, procedural duration and radiation exposure are higher using theTransradial access.
Journal ArticleDOI
Combined pulmonary endarterectomy and balloon pulmonary angioplasty in patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension
Christoph B. Wiedenroth,Christoph Liebetrau,Andreas Breithecker,Stefan Guth,Hans-Jürgen Lautze,Erik Ortmann,Matthias Arlt,Gabriele A. Krombach,Dirk Bandorski,Christian W. Hamm,Helge Möllmann,Eckhard Mayer +11 more
TL;DR: The combination of surgical PEA and interventional BPA is a new treatment option for highly selected high-risk CTEPH patients with predominantly unilateral disease that was amenable to treatment by PEA.
Journal ArticleDOI
New formula for evaluation of the QT interval in patients with left bundle branch block
Harilaos Bogossian,Gerrit Frommeyer,Ilias Ninios,Fuad Hasan,Quy Suu Nguyen,Zana Karosiene,Dejan Mijic,Axel Kloppe,Hawal Suleiman,Dirk Bandorski,Melchior Seyfarth,Bernd Lemke,Lars Eckardt,Markus Zarse +13 more
TL;DR: It is shown that QT prolongation caused by LBBB constitutes 48.5% of the QRS width, which is the value that must be subtracted from the measured QT in L BBB in order to estimate the modified QT.
Journal ArticleDOI
Contraindications for video capsule endoscopy.
Dirk Bandorski,N. Kurniawan,Peter Baltes,Reinhard Hoeltgen,Matthias Hecker,Dominik Stunder,Martin Keuchel +6 more
TL;DR: There is theoretical and clinical evidence that patients with implanted cardiac devices such as a pacemaker, cardioverters or left heart assist devices, can safely undergo VCE in spite of still existing contraindication by manufacturers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Capsule endoscopy and cardiac pacemakers: investigation for possible interference.
TL;DR: The clinical use of capsule endoscopy is unproblematic in patients with cardiac pacemakers and other implanted electrical devices, and there was no interference between the video capsule and the cardiacpacemakers in this experiment.
