Journal ArticleDOI
Antimicrobial activity and biocompatibility of Ag+- and Cu2+-doped biphasic hydroxyapatite/α-tricalcium phosphate obtained from hydrothermally synthesized Ag+- and Cu2+-doped hydroxyapatite
Željko Radovanović,Bojan Jokić,Djordje Veljovic,Suzana Dimitrijević,Vesna Kojić,Rada Petrović,Djordje Janaćković +6 more
TL;DR: Antimicrobial and biocompatibility tests recommend the Ag+- and Cu2+-doped HAp/α-TCP as promising material for use in reconstructive surgery of bone.
Journal ArticleDOI
Processing of dense nanostructured HAP ceramics by sintering and hot pressing
Djordje Veljovic,Bojan Jokić,Rada Petrović,E. Palcevskis,Antonija Dindune,Ion N. Mihailescu,Dj. Janaćković +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a nanosized HAP powder was sintered and hot pressed, in order to obtain dense HAP ceramics, and the results showed that full dense, translucent nanostructures were obtained having mean grain size below 100nm and improved mechanical properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
Corrosion stability and bioactivity in simulated body fluid of silver/hydroxyapatite and silver/hydroxyapatite/lignin coatings on titanium obtained by electrophoretic deposition.
Sanja Eraković,Ana Janković,Djordje Veljovic,E. Palcevskis,Miodrag Mitrić,Tatjana Stevanovic,Djordje Janaćković,Vesna Mišković-Stanković +7 more
TL;DR: Hydroxyapatite coatings were modified with lignin in order to attain corrosion stability and surface porosity that enables osteogenesis, and both coatings had good corrosion stability during a prolonged immersion time.
Journal ArticleDOI
Microwave sintering of fine grained HAP and HAP/TCP bioceramics
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of microwave sintering conditions on the microstructure, phase composition and mechanical properties of materials based on hydroxyapatite (HAP) and tricalcium phosphate (TCP) was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bioactive glass–apatite composite coating for titanium implant synthesized by electrophoretic deposition
Dušica B. Stojanović,Bojan Jokić,Djordje Veljovic,Rada Petrović,Petar S. Uskoković,Dj. Janaćković +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the synthesis of functionally graded glass-apatite coating on Ti6Al4V alloys by the electrophoretic method, and the influence of synthesis condition such as deposition voltage and time on the coating properties and deposit weights were examined.
