A curable silsesquioxane polymer, a composition including such polymer, an article having a layer disposed thereon that includes the curable polymer and/or the cured polymer, and a method of forming a cured coating, wherein the curable silsesquioxane polymer includes a three-dimensional branched network having the formula: (I), or (II) wherein: the oxygen atom at the * is bonded to another Si atom within the three-dimensional branched network; R is an organic group comprising an ethylenically unsaturated group; R2 is an organic group that is not an ethylenically unsaturated group, and n or n+m is an integer of greater than 3; and the —OH groups are present in an amount of at least 15 wt-% of the polymer.

An adhesive composition includes: a monomer in an amount of about 25 wt % to about 50 wt %; an oligomer in an amount of about 25 wt % to about 40 wt %; a binder resin in an amount of about 10 wt % to about 40 wt %; and a photopolymerization initiator in an amount of about 1 wt % to about 10 wt % with respect to the total weight of the adhesive composition. The monomer may include acrylic acid and isobornyl acrylate, the oligomer may include silicone acrylate, and the photopolymerization initiator may include a first photoinitiator having a photosensitive wavelength of about 210 nm to about 290 nm and a second photoinitiator having a photosensitive wavelength of about 300 nm to about 390 nm.

Pressure sensitive adhesive compositions are described comprising at least one low Tg ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and at least one silsesquioxane polymer crosslinker comprising a plurality of ethylenically unsaturated groups. The low Tg ethylenically unsaturated monomer typically has a Tg no greater than 10° C. In some embodiments, the composition comprises at least 50, 55, 60, 65, or 70 wt-% of low Tg ethylenically unsaturated monomer. The low Tg ethylenically unsaturated monomer is typically an alkyl (meth)acrylate comprising 4 to 20 carbon atoms. In another embodiment, an adhesive composition is described comprising a syrup. Also described are pressure sensitive adhesive articles and method of preparing adhesive articles.

The present invention relates to a photo-curable organic-inorganic hybrid composition, more particularly to a photo-curable organic-inorganic hybrid resin composition having superior physical properties such as UV resistance, chemical resistance, light transmittance, adhesive property, insulating property, heat resistance, flatness and water resistance and in particular, having excellent heat resistance and adhesive property enabling the composition to endure a thermal deformation caused by a processing temperature change during post-process after a film is cured. Thus, the composition of the invention is suitable for use as an insulating material and an encapsulating material for a protective film of optical devices including display devices and semiconductors.
