Molecular gas and star formation in BIMA SONG bars
Kartik Sheth,Stuart N. Vogel,Andrew I. Harris,Michael W. Regan,Michele D. Thornley,Tamara T. Helfer,Tony Wong,Leo Blitz,Douglas C.-J. Bock +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a sample of 7 barred spirals from the BIMA Survey of Nearby Galaxies (SONG) was used to compare the molecular gas distribution in the bar, to recent massive star formation activity.
Journal ArticleDOI
A high-resolution radio survey of the Vela supernova remnant
TL;DR: In this paper, a high-resolution radio continuum (843 MHz) survey of the Vela supernova remnant is presented, where the contrast between the structures in the central pulsar-powered nebula of the remnant and the synchrotron radiation shell allows the remnant to be identified morphologically as a member of the composite class.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular Gas in the z=1.2 Ultraluminous Merger GOODS J123634.53+621241.3
David T. Frayer,Jin Koda,Alexandra Pope,Minh Huynh,Ranga-Ram Chary,Douglas Scott,Mark Dickinson,Douglas C.-J. Bock,John M. Carpenter,David Hawkins,M. W. Hodges,James W. Lamb,Richard L. Plambeck,Marc W. Pound,Stephen L. Scott,Nick Scoville,David P. Woody +16 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the detection of CO(2-1) emission from the z=1.2 ultraluminous infrared galaxy (ULIRG) GOODS J123634.53+621241.3 (also known as the sub-millimeter galaxy GN26).
