Precision breeding techniques have been widely used to optimize expenses and increase livestock yields. Notwithstanding, the joint use of heterogeneous sensors and artificial intelligence techniques for the simultaneous analysis or detection of different problems that cattle may present has not been addressed. This study arises from the necessity to obtain a technological tool that faces this state of the art limitation. As novelty, this work presents a multi-agent architecture based on virtual organizations which allows to deploy a new embedded agent model in computationally limited autonomous sensors, making use of the Platform for Automatic coNstruction of orGanizations of intElligent Agents (PANGEA). To validate the proposed platform, different studies have been performed, where parameters specific to each animal are studied, such as physical activity, temperature, estrus cycle state and the moment in which the animal goes into labor. In addition, a set of applications that allow farmers to remotely monitor the livestock have been developed.

Combination of Multi-Agent Systems and Wireless Sensor Networks for the Monitoring of Cattle

From last few years, the chicken production in the world has been increasing gradually because of standardized farming management and good manufacturing practices. According to world’s agricultural produce survey, chicken is the most favourite produce, since it is a nutrientrich food providing high protein, low fat and low cholesterol, and lower energy than other kinds of poultries. From last few days around the world, there has been an increased level of awareness regarding the safety of food products like chickens and there has been a high demand for good quality chicken food. This paper is highlighted the technology based solution for low cost, asset saving, quality oriented and productive management of chicken framing. This study intended to explore utilizing an Intelligent System which used an Embedded Framework and Smart Phone for monitoring chicken farm to control environmental parameters using smart devices and technologies. Smart Poultry Farm Monitoring Using IOT and Wireless Sensor Networks

Advancement in technology has made regular life more easy and convenient. In every aspect of life, it is essential to be updated that ensures that progress of mass interest. With the growing demand, automated poultry farming has become eminent that contributes enormously in economic growth. Smart poultry farms can emancipate the farmers from the traditionally tedious procedures which were outdated and time consuming. In preliminary stage, a smart poultry farm shows many distinctive features such as, automated food and water supply, egg collection, maintaining precise environmental factors etc. In this paper, Safety measures such as fire protection, anti-thief features which ensures an overall surveillance of the farm has been incorporated. Data storage through IoT is another enticing trait of this work which enables the users to Fig. out the required pre-steps to adopt before any endangerments can occur. The GSM module can also provide a real time protection of the farm by notifying the farmer through an SMS at any alarming situations. All these distinguished features have been realized and observed with very perfection and it can be concluded, with the integration of GSM and IoT the proposed project work has taken the poultry farming into next level of advancement.

Smart Poultry Farm Incorporating GSM and IoT

A combination of wireless sensors and GPRS network can be used for controlling and monitoring environmental parameters in a poultry farm. Various environmental parameters like temperature, humidity, ammonia gas have a big role in operations of Poultry. Operator can get updates regarding the internal environmental situation of poultry farm by accessing the data using a web page. A combination of hardware and software is used which will initiate the action automatically to control the environmental parameters according to preset standards, if there are any changes in parameters which exceed the presets system will act automatically and help to take actions to control the environmental parameters. Sensors are used to control temperature, water level, smoke, gas and food dispensing. All these sensors are connected with the raspberry pi which can control and monitor all data. The data is transmitted using GPRS, and detailed record of poultry farm with status of environmental conditions is maintained at a webpage. System thus focuses on maintaining best possible environmental conditions with minimal human effort.

With the advent of technology, the world around us is getting automated. Automatic systems are being favored over manual systems, as they are energy efficient and minimize the need for tedious manual labor. With agriculture being the primary economic sector of India and other developing countries, it is essential to automate it in order to increase efficiency. A typical farm requires a lot of labor. Automation can proficiently moderate the amount of manual labor, and make farming easier and faster, leading to more agricultural growth. The concept of automation is extended to the agricultural farms and farm houses. Numerous aspects of the farm are automated, which include auto-irrigation cycles and secure temperature controlled enclosures for livestock and farm products. In our paper, we implement automatic lighting system, auto-sprinkler system, in-house temperature control and security for farm houses. As temperature and motion sensitive devices will only work when required, such a system conserves energy effectively. The paper also presents features to enhance the security of the farm. Energy efficient farm automation is the need of the hour in an agro-based economy.
