Journal ArticleDOI

The sequestering of surfactants from insoluble monolayers by α-, β- and γ-cyclodextrins

TL;DR: In this paper, a study of the sequestering of insoluble surfactants by α-, β- and γ-cyclodextrins from monomolecular films at the air/water interface is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

A theory for foam growth kinetics in the presence of antifoam emulsion

TL;DR: In this article, a theoretical model was developed to predict the rate of foam production when gas is bubbled through an aqueous surfactant solution containing antifoam emulsion droplets.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oil dispersion properties of silanated calcium carbonate: A rheological study

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the dispersion properties of silanated mineral fillers in nonaqueous media, such as mineral oil, using rheological measurements, and concluded that the presence of silane mainly reduces the number of interaction bonds in the particulate network and that this, in turn, reduces the dissipation energy under shear.
Journal ArticleDOI

Total carbon analysis for surfactant adsorption

TL;DR: In this article, total carbon analysis was used to generate adsorption isotherms for purified alcohol ethoxylates on polyester fiber, where the effect of the degree of ethoxideation was examined.
