Quantum yield of singlet oxygen production by xanthene derivatives

TL;DR: In this article, the triplet oxygen quantum yield of 11 purified fluorescein derivatives was determined by reaction with singlet oxygen acceptors in aqueous and ethanolic solutions; in both solvents ϕ1o2 was enhanced with increasing halogenation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Flash photolysis of eosin in aqueous miceliar dispersions

TL;DR: In this article, the flash photolysis technique was employed to study the properties of eosin triplet state in aqueous micellar solutions, and it was shown that increasing the concentration of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide from 10 −6 M to the CMC leads to a dramatic decrease of triplet absorbance and the appearance of a very fast decay process resulting from the formation of dye-rich induced micelles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Diffusion-concentration product of oxygen within water pools of Aerosol OT-heptane reverse micelles

TL;DR: In this paper, a relation lineaire entre D Od 2N Od 2 and le rayon du cœur aqueux, entre 12 and 43 A.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nitroxide reduction by electron transfer from the eosin triplet state: electron paramagnetic resonance and flash photolysis studies

TL;DR: In this paper, the paramagnetism loss of nitroxide, photosensitized by eosin, was analyzed in basic aqueous and micellar media using electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy.
