Geospatial Ontology Development and Semantic Analytics
TL;DR: The GSA framework incorporates the ability to automatically and semi‐automatically tract metadata from syntactically and semantically heterogeneous and multimodal data from diverse sources, with integral support for what the authors term spatiotemporal thematic proximity (STTP) reasoning and interactive visualization capabilities.
Journal ArticleDOI
Trip distribution forecasting with multilayer perceptron neural networks: a critical evaluation
TL;DR: It is concluded that current perceptron neural networks do not provide an appropriate modeling approach to forecasting trip distribution over a planning horizon for which distribution predictors are beyond their base-year domain of definition.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Sinusoidal Projection: A New Importance in Relation to Global Image Data
TL;DR: In this paper, the feasibility of using the sinusoidal projection for global image database construction was investigated with geographic latitude and longitude coordinates, and the Hammer-Aitoff, Eckert IV, Mollweide, and sinusoid projections.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cartographic Accuracy of LANDSAT-4 MSS And TM Image Data
Roy Welch,E. Lynn Usery +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate the cartographic quality of Landsat-4 MSS and TM image data in CCT-p formats and produce rectification accuracies (rmsexy values) of ± 2/3 to ± 1 data pixel for both whole and subscene areas using polynomials of the first through third degree.
