Neutralizacion de los efectos locales del veneno de Bothrops asper por un antiveneno polivalente

TL;DR: The ineffectiveness of antivenom in neutralizing edema and myonecrosis could be partially explained by the rapid development of these effects, and the time interval between envenomation and antivenum administration and the route of serum administration both play an important role in the neutralization of local effects.
Journal ArticleDOI

Local effects induced by coral snake venoms: Evidence of myonecrosis after experimental inoculations of venoms from five species

TL;DR: The local effects induced by intramuscular inoculations of venoms from six species of coral snakes were studied in mice, finding that all these venoms induced a similar pattern of myonecrosis, characterized by a conspicuous alteration of the intracellular structure.
Journal Article

Rat macrophage activity against Toxoplasma gondii studied by electron microscopy.

TL;DR: The results confirm at molecular level, the importance of rat macrophages in the natural adaptation of this rodent to T. gondii, and show remarkable lesions such as vacuolization and organisms were totally lysed inside of macrophage of more than 8 h infection rats.
Journal ArticleDOI

Presencia de quistes en Tritrichomonas muris

TL;DR: The morphology of this evolutive stage is described under light and electro n microscopy and the biologic and epidemiologic importance of this finding is discussed.
