Trigonal Planar Phosphorus Cations

Die IR- und Raman-Spektren der trimeren Bordihalogenidazide (BX2N3)3 (X = Cl, Br) werden mitgeteilt. Die Zuordnung der Frequenzen kann nach der Symmetrie D3h mit einem ebenen BN-Sechsring vorgenommen werden. Fur (BCl2N3)3 wird eine neue Darstellung aus BCl3 und ClN3 beschrieben. Die Bromverbindung last sich analog aus BBr3 und BrN3 herstellen. (BBr2N3)3 ist leicht fluchtig, schmilzt bei 94.5° und ist explosiv.

Darstellung, Eigenschaften und Schwingungsspektren der trimeren Bordihalogenidazide (BCl2N3)3 und (BBr2N3)3

Es wird uber die Synthese des Halbsandwichkomplexes [C5H5Co{P(O)(OR)2}2{P(OH)(OR)2}] (4) aus [C5H5Co{P(OR)2O}3BF]BF4 (3) berichtet. 4 ist ein neuartiger O3-Tripodligand, der mit den zweiwertigen Metall-Ionen M = Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Pb, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, Hg zu dreikernigen Verbindungen der Zusammensetzung [{(C5H5)Co[P(O)(OR)2]3}2M] (5a–m) reagiert. In den sandwich-artigen Komplexen 5 bilden die Dialkylphosphonatliganden Brucken der Art Co(PO)3M(OP)3Co zwischen den drei Metallzentren. Die 1H-NMR-Spektren werden diskutiert. Im IR-Spektrum beobachtet man als Folge der nicht regularen Oktaederkoordination beim CuII-Komplex 5j und bei der Quecksilberverbindung 5m eine Aufspaltung der VP = O und δP = O-Banden. An Hand der IR-Spektren wird gezeigt, das die Jahn-Teller-Verzerrung des CuII-Komplexes 5j unter einem Druck von 35 kbar aufgehoben werden kann.



Trinuclear Sandwich Compounds Containing Dialkylphosphonate as Bridging Ligands: Synthesis, NMR-, IR-, and Raman Studies



The solvolysis of [C5H5Co{P(OR)2O}3BF]BF4 (3) leads to the half-sandwich complex [C5H5Co{P(O)(OR)2}2{P(OH)(OR)2}] (4). 4 is a novel O3-tripod ligand which reacts with the bivalent metalions M = Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Pb, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, Hg to give the trinuclear compounds [{(C5H5)Co[P(O)(OR)2]2}2M] (5a–m). In these sandwich like complexes the dialkylphosphonate ligands are forming bridges of the type Co(PO)3M(OP)3Co between the three metal centers. The 1H NMR spectra are discussed. Due to a non-regular octahedral coordination of the central ion M = Cu and Hg the vP = O and δP = O bands in the IR spectra of 5j and 5m are split. It is shown by means of the IR spectra that the Jahn-Teller distorted octahedral coordination of CuII in 5j is changed to a regular one under the influence of high pressure (35 kbar).

Osmiumpentachlorid reagiert mit Trithiazylchlorid, (NSCl)3, unter Bildung des Thiazylchloridkomplexes [OsCl4(NSCl)2], aus dem mit Tetraphenylarsoniumchlorid in Dichlormethanlosung der Thionitrosyl-Komplex AsPh4[OsCl4(NS)2Cl] entsteht. Mit Galliumtrichlorid last sich hieraus der ungeladene Thionitrosylkomplex [OsCl4(NS)2] herstellen. Die IR-Spektren der neuen Komplexe werden mitgeteilt und zugeordnet. Die Kristallstruktur von AsPh4[OsCl4(NS)2Cl] wurde mit Hilfe von Rontgenbeugungsdaten ermittelt und bis zu einem Ubereinstimmungsindex von R = 3,3% verfeinert. Es kristallisiert monoklin in der Raumgruppe P21/c mit vier Formeleinheiten pro Elementarzelle. Die Gitterkonstanten betragen a = 1735, b = 1058, c = 1578 pm und β 95,64°.



Im [OsCl4(NS)2Cl]−-Ion ist das Osmium oktaedrisch von vier Cl-Atomen und zwei cis-standigen N—S-Gruppen koordiniert. Die NS-Gruppen sind linear mit Bindungsabstanden OsN 184 pm und NS 146 pm. An eines der S-Atome ist ein Cl-Atom locker gebunden (SCl-Abstand 228 pm); es gehort im Kristall statistisch je zur Halfte an das eine bzw. das andere S-Atom, wobei nicht entschieden werden kann, ob es dynamisch zwischen den S-Atomen fluktuiert oder statisch fehlgeordnet ist. Nach dem IR-Spektrum ist jedoch das dynamische Modell wahrscheinlicher.



Thionitrosyl Complexes of Osmium. Crystal Structure of AsPh4[OsCl4(NS)2Cl]



The reaction of osmium pentachloride with trithiazyl chloride (NSCl)3 yields the thiazylchloride complex [OsCl4(NSCl)2], from which the thionitrosyl complex AsPh4[OsCl4(NS)2Cl] is obtained by reaction with AsPh4Cl in CH2Cl2. From this, the neutral thionitrosyl complex [OsCl4(NS)2] forms by chloride abstraction with gallium trichloride. The crystal structure of AsPh4[OsCl4(NS)2Cl] was determined and refined with the aid of X-ray diffraction data (R = 0.033, 2161 reflexions). It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with four formula units per unit cell. The lattice constants are a = 1735, b = 1058, c = 1578 pm and β 95.64°.



In the [OsCl4(NS)2Cl]− ion the osmium is octahedrally coordinated by four Cl atoms and two NS groups in a cis arrangement. The NS groups are essentially linear with the bond lengths OsN 184 pm and NS 146 pm. Loosely attached to one of the S atoms there is a Cl atom (SCl distance 228 pm); in the crystal it statistically belongs to both S atoms with an occupation probability of one half, and it cannot be decided whether there is a dynamical fluctuation between the S atoms or a static positional disorder. However, according to the i.r. spectrum the dynamical model seems more probable.

Thionitrosylkomplexe des Osmiums. Die Kristallstruktur von AsPh4[OsCl4(NS)2Cl]

Infrarot- und Raman-Festkorperspektren folgender Verbindungen werden mitgeteilt: Cl3B · OPCl3, Cl3B · OPBr3, Br3B · OPCl3, Br3B · OPBr3, Cl3Al · 2 OPCl3, ferner die IR-Spektren der Verbindungen Cl3Al · OPCl3, Br3Al · OPCl3, Cl3Al · OPBr3, Br3Al · OPBr3, Cl3Ga · OPCl3, Cl3In · OPCl3, Cl3Tl · 2 OPCl3. Die beobachteten Banden der Valenzschwingungen werden zugeordnet. In allen Fallen wird gefolgert, das die Anlagerung uber den Sauerstoff des Phosphoroxidhalogenids erfolgt, da eine starke Erniedrigung der PO-Valenzfrequenz zu erkennen ist. Die Kreftkonstanten kPO und kBo werden nach einem einfachen Ansatz berechnet. Mit steigendem Atomgewicht nimmt die Wechselwirkung zwischen dem Halogenid und Phosphoroxidchlorid ab. Die Darstellng der Verbindung Cl3B · SPCl3 gelang nicht.



The vibratinal spectra in the solid state of the addition compounds Cl3B · OPCl3, Cl3B · PBOr3, Br3B · OPCl3, Br3B · OPBr3, Cl3Al · 2 OPCl3, Cl3Al · OPCl3, Br3Al · OPCl3, Cl3Al · OPBr3, Br3Al · OPBr3, Cl3Ga · OPCl3, Cl3In · OPCl3, Cl3Tl · 2 OPCl3 are reported. The observed bond frequencies have been assigned. It is concluded that in all cases the addition occurs through the oxygen atoms of the phosphoroxidehalides. This follows from the strong negative shifts of the PO bond frequencies. The force constants kPO and kBO have been calculated using a simplified equation. With increasing atomic weight the interaction between halide and phosphoroxidechloride is diminished. The attempt to prepare the compound Cl3B · SPCl3 failed.
