Novel bonding mode for WS42–: synthesis and structure of [Mo2(O2CPh)2(WS4)2]2–

TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis of (Et4N)2[Mo2(O2CPh)2(WS4)2] is reported; the structure reveals a novel bonding mode for the tetrathiotungstate ligands which bridge two quadruply-bonded molybdenum atoms.

Transition metal tris-ditiolene and related complex as precursor to active catalyst

TL;DR: In this paper, the precursor containing the transition metal complex expressed by a general formula, ML n3 (where M represents Mo, W, Pe and their mixtures (n) represents the total charge of the metal complex and is 0, -1 of -2 and L represents a ligand of dithiolene and aminobenzene thiolate) is used.

Method for making Mo4S4L6 (C-2387)

TL;DR: In this paper, an improved method for preparing compounds of the formula Mo4S4L6 comprising of contacting a compound having the formula, wherein L is a 1,1-dithioacid ligand, with a reducing agent having a reduction potential sufficient to reduce Mo(V) to lower oxidation states, especially to Mo(III) and Mo(IV), at a temperature and for a time sufficient to form the Mo2S4l6 compound.

An improved method for making mo4s4l6

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that Mo(III) containing compounds will react with the salts of a 1,1-dithioacid to form Mo4S4L6.
