Abstract: A system for mounting accessories, e.g., filters, supplementary lenses, lens shades, etc., on a compact camera housing including a flash unit receiving socket. The system includes an accessory holder that is adapted to be connected to the camera flash socket to hold it on the housing. The holder includes a flash socket that is operatively connected to the camera socket when the holder is coupled thereto. Also special accessory mounts are provided for attaching accessories to the holder.

TL;DR: A modification of Craik's and Cornsweet's experiments using mixtures of red and blue instead of black and white was performed by Smitty as discussed by the authors, who tested whether the colors produced were the colors one would expect from the predictions of Retinex theory.
Abstract: This paper describes an experiment that Smitty performed while I was giving the William James lectures at Harvard. It was a modification of Craik’s and Cornsweet’s experiments using mixtures of red and blue instead of black and white. Smitty’s experiment tested whether the colors produced were the colors one would expect from the predictions of Retinex theory. This paper describes the experiment, the predictions, and the results.

TL;DR: In this article, the silver image is present in the developed silver halide emulsion layer which is maintained in registered relationship with a light-transmitting screen composed of minute optical elements, such as an additive color screen.
Abstract: Color photographic products and processes are disclosed which provide a silver image in registration with a light-transmitting screen composed of minute optical elements, such as an additive color screen. The silver image is present in the developed silver halide emulsion layer which is maintained in registered relationship with said screen on a transparent support. Where the silver halide emulsion is negative-working, the silver image is a negative of the photographed subject, and the thus-obtained additive color negative image may be used to form full color positive images by printing onto subtractive color print material. The undeveloped silver halide may be allowed to remain in the developed silver halide emulsion layer, or all or a portion thereof may be removed from the developed silver halide emulsion layer. If desired, undeveloped silver halide may be transferred to a silver-receptive stratum carried by a separate support to provide a positive silver transfer image which may serve as a "proof" of the developed negative image.

TL;DR: In this paper, a projector with a cassette-locking shaft member is described, which locates and locks a photographic cassette in an operative location responsive to insertion of the cassette in a cassette receiving element of the apparatus.
Abstract: Projector apparatus employing a cassette-latching shaft member which automatically locates and locks a photographic cassette in an operative location responsive to insertion of the cassette in a cassette-receiving element of the apparatus. Displacement of the shaft member to its cassette-locking position allows engagement of other cooperating elements of the apparatus with the cassette and initiates operation of the latter through a preprogrammed sequence for projection including transport of the film in a forward and rewind direction. Following completion of the film rewind, the cooperating elements and the shaft member are automatically disengaged from the cassette, the latter is partially ejected and the apparatus turned off. The apparatus is also configured for operation of a multipurpose cassette which includes a processor station adapted to apply processing fluid to the film strip during its first rewind following exposure, and when the cassette is unprocessed, the apparatus automatically processes the cassette during the first film transport cycle and repeats the cycle prior to cassette ejection so as to program the latter through both a process and projection mode.

TL;DR: In this paper, the color speeds of a multicolor photosensitive element are balanced during the manufacture thereof by continuously introducing into said element optical filter means adapted to modulate the photographic color speed of at least one of the selectively sensitized silver halide emulsions relative to the other(s).
Abstract: The color speeds of a multicolor photosensitive element are balanced during the manufacture thereof by continuously introducing into said element optical filter means adapted to modulate the photographic color speed of at least one of the selectively sensitized silver halide emulsions relative to the other(s), and then adjusting the density of said optical filter means during coating to an amount sufficient to obtain the desired color balance.

TL;DR: In this paper, a unitary film unit was employed to offset the color stain that tends to form in the highlights of the transfer image during aging. But the dye was not a dye developer, but a mixture of dyes.
Abstract: This invention relates to photographic film structures for forming color transfer images viewable by reflected light without separation of the photosensitive and image-receiving components and to diffusion transfer processes employing these unitary film units wherein a dye is initially positioned in the image-receiving component to offset the color stain that tends to form in the highlights of the transfer image during aging. Any dye or mixture of dyes may be employed which are capable of absorbing visible light in a wavelength range complementary to the wavelength range absorbed by the color stain and are used in a concentration such that the highlights, i.e., D min areas of the transfer image, appear substantially white after aging, as observed by the eye. In a preferred embodiment, the dye employed is a dye developer.

TL;DR: In this article, a folding camera and viewing device and an apertured flexible mask are attached to the viewing device over the eye lens of the camera, and the mask is removed from the camera when the camera is placed in a storage position.
Abstract: A compact folding camera and viewing device and an apertured flexible mask removably attachable to the viewing device over the eye lens thereof. The mask folds flat within the viewing device in a storage position and when the viewing device is erected to a viewing position the aperture is positioned proximate the exit pupil of the viewing device and is oriented to cause a user to place his eye proximate the exit pupil and sight along the optical axis of the viewing device. The mask is provided with an antireflective face and the aperture is larger than the exit pupil so as not to restrict the field of view through the viewing device.

TL;DR: An exposure actuation system for a photographic camera including a movable actuator button which is operative to initiate a photographic exposure only at predetermined temperatures is described in this paper. But it is not shown in Figure 1.
Abstract: An exposure actuation system, preferably including an electric start switch for a photographic camera including a movable actuator button which is operative to initiate a photographic exposure only at predetermined temperatures. Depression of the movable actuator button is operative to move one electrical spring contact into electrical engagement with another spring contact for closing appropriate camera shutter circuitry. In a preferred embodiment, a liquid-filled elastic member is interposed in the path of movement of the subject actuator button. Should the photographic camera be subjected to temperatures below the freezing point of the liquid, the liquid freezes and prevents depression of the actuator button.
