Distributed generation modeling for power flow studies and a three-phase unbalanced power flow solution for radial distribution systems considering distributed generation

TL;DR: In this article, an unbalanced three-phase power flow algorithm for radial distribution networks considering DG is presented based on the power summation method in backward/forward sweep technique, which is simple and fast and can handle DG units in both PV and PQ mode.
Journal ArticleDOI

Integration of distributed energy resources into low voltage grid: A market-based multiperiod optimization model

TL;DR: In this article, a multi-period optimization model for an interconnected micro grid with hierarchical control that participates in wholesale energy market to maximize its benefit is developed, where the operational constraints of distributed energy resources (DER) including both inter-temporal and non-intertemporal types, the adequacy and steady-state security constraints of micro grid and its power losses are incorporated in the optimization model.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Three-phase backward/forward power flow solution considering three-phase distribution transformers

TL;DR: In this article, a three-phase backward/forward power flow solution is proposed to handle distribution transformers of various common winding connections in unbalanced system of multi-voltage levels.
