TL;DR: Children with specific language impairment, in spite of the normal peripheral hearing, have evidence of cognitive and central auditory processing defects as evidenced by P300 auditory event related potential in the form of prolonged latency which indicate a slow rate of processing and defective memory as evidencedby small amplitude.

Arabic psycholinguistic screening tool: A preliminary study

TL;DR: In this article, the authors designed and applied an Arabic psycholinguistic screening tool on a group of native Egyptian students aged 7 through 9, 11 years old, enrolled in primary grade 1 through primary grade 4, and analyzed the obtained results in order to attain a better understanding of psycholinginguistic skills in the studied age range and preliminarily study the constituent items of the tool.
