Modelling of the performance of asphalt pavement using response surface methodology—the kinetics of the aging
L.E. Chávez-Valencia,Alejandro Manzano-Ramírez,Elia Mercedes Alonso-Guzmán,M.E. Contreras-García +3 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the crystallized fractions (CF) and the carbonyl groups (C O) contents of the asphalts (A1 and A2) were determined by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reinforced Concrete Durability in Marine Environments DURACON Project: Long-Term Exposure
O. Troconis de Rincón,J.C. Montenegro,Rosa Vera,Ana María Carvajal,R.M. de Gutiérrez,S. Del Vasto,E. Saborio,Andrés A. Torres-Acosta,J. Pérez-Quiroz,Miguel Martinez-Madrid,M.G. Lomeli-González,N. Araujo-Arreola,Wilfrido Martínez-Molina,Elia Mercedes Alonso-Guzmán,P. Castro-Borges,M. Balancan-Zapata,T. Pérez-López,M. Sosa-Baz,Miguel Angel Baltazar-Zamora,J. Genescá-Llongueras,Manuela M. Salta,A.P. de Melo,Isabel Martínez,Nuria Rebolledo,Gloria Amparo Rodríguez,Miguel Pedrón,Valentina Millano,Miguel Sánchez,E. A. De Partidas,Karol Mendoza +29 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present the results of a long-term evaluation in marine environments, from an Ibero-American project called "Effect of the environment on reinforcement durability" (DURACON).
Journal ArticleDOI
Flexural behavior and microstructure analysis of a gypsum-SBR composite material
J.C. Rubio-Ávalos,Alejandro Manzano-Ramírez,J.G. Luna-Bárcenas,J.F. Pérez-Robles,Elia Mercedes Alonso-Guzmán,M.E. Contreras-García,Jesús González-Hernández +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a more flexible organic-inorganic composite material with low density has been obtained using low cost and flexible latex, SBR latex in a gypsum matrix.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modelling of the performance of asphalt pavement using response surface methodology
L.E. Chávez-Valencia,Alejandro Manzano-Ramírez,Gabriel Luna-Bárcenas,Elia Mercedes Alonso-Guzmán +3 more
TL;DR: In this paper, three empirical models were developed to predict the load and the flow resistance increment (ΔL and ΔF, respectively) according to ASTM D 5581 [Annual Book of ASTM Standards, Section 4, Construction, vol. 04.03, Roads and Paving Material; Vehicle-pavement Systems] and the “volatilised material” (VM), via RSM using the obtained properties of the specimens placed in a conventional oven for laboratory aging.
Journal ArticleDOI
Predicting Concrete Compressive Strength and Modulus of Rupture Using Different NDT Techniques
Wilfrido Martínez-Molina,Andrés A. Torres-Acosta,Juan Carlos Jáuregui,Hugo Luis Chávez-García,Elia Mercedes Alonso-Guzmán,Mario Graff,Juan Carlos Arteaga-Arcos +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a framework for predicting concrete compressive strength and modulus of rupture by combining data from four NDTs: electrical resistivity, ultrasonic pulse velocity, resonant frequency, and hammer test rebound with DTs data.
