One‐Dimensional Model of the Hydrogen Bond

TL;DR: In this article, a one-dimensional model for hydrogen bonding is proposed based on the potential function V = D[1-exp(nΔr2/2r)] and the energy associated with both the weak and strong bonds of the configuration RO - H - - - OR2 is obtained through application of this function.
Journal ArticleDOI

Infrared studies on polymorphs of silicon dioxide and germanium dioxide

TL;DR: The infrared spectra of coesite, low-temperature tridymite, high temperature quartz, vitreous silica, hexagonal Oe02, tetragonal Ge02, and vitrithmic Germallla are reported from ~,OOO to 300 C~-l as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

The vibrational spectra and structure of ferrocene and ruthenocene

TL;DR: In this article, the infrared and Raman spectra of ferrocene, ruthenocene and cyclopentadienyl rings have been reported and a detailed assignment of frequencies to the fundamental modes of vibration has been made for these compounds.
Journal ArticleDOI

Infrared Studies in the 1- to 15-Micron Region to 30,000 Atmospheres.

TL;DR: Major spectral changes are not observed in the same pressure ranges in other carbonates having the calcite or aragonite structures, and the results for calcite may be explained by a shift of the CO3= ion from the trigonal axis under pressure.
