The purification plant for a grey water recycling system for habitable locations comprises: collection pipework for grey water (1), pre-sedimentation unit, purification reactor (3), final sedimentation tank (4), UV disinfection unit (10) and distribution system (5) for the cleaned water. An original purification arrangement is used. Grey water is fed to percolate from the top of the reactor (3), which has two or more, stacked identical fixed bed modules (6) on drainage bases (7) with aeration clearance (h) and side air vents (12) between. The height of the beds is <= 1.0 m. The fixed bed (8) particle packing averages 0.1-8 mm dia., the top bed having a larger grading.

Grey water purification and recycling plant which may be installed in habitable buildings

Wastewater treatment facilties having biofilm contact and solid-liquid separation functions are disclosed, wherein a biofilter unit having biofilm contact, inclination plate precipitation and de-filming functions comprises an inclination plate settler formed with a plurality of inclination plates (2), each plate spaced in parallel relative to water surface at a predetermined downward angle and a predetermined distance apart, and spacings formed by the plates (2) are filled by biofilm media (3,3a) formed with specific surface-increased and bio-affinity materials so that micro-organisms can attach and grow in the shapes of biofilms therein, and de-filming means for separating biofilms attached to and grown on the biofilm media (3, 3a) and solids deposited on the surfaces of the inclination plates (2) by applying shearing force to biofilm media (3, 3a) and inclination plates (2).

Biofilter units and water treatment facilities with using the same biofilter units

A biological waste water purification plant has at least one trickling filter 4 provided between an upper waste water distributor 14 and a lower collecting trough 15, which trickling filter has a water-permeable filter layer 5, 6 which takes up microorganisms. In order to be able to ensure reliable oxygen supply to these microorganisms, a baffle layer 7, which alternately blocks or releases the water throughflow, is arranged downstream of the filter layer 5, 6.
