Abstract: The invention concerns a method for denitrogenation of a fraction containing nitrogenous hydrocarbons. The method comprises at least a step which consists in contacting said fraction with a complexing agent comprising at least a π electron accepting molecular organic compound, so as to form a charge transfer complex between the complexing agent and at least one of the nitrogenous hydrocarbons present in said fraction.
