Stability mechanisms for microwave-produced solid lipid nanoparticles
TL;DR: In this paper , Stearic acid solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) were prepared using a one-pot microwave-assisted microemulsion technique and their subsequent physical properties (particle size and zeta potential) were measured and used to predict dispersion stability.
Journal ArticleDOI
Performance of a MALDI-TOF MS-based imipenem hydrolysis assay incorporating zinc sulfate.
James Knox,Enzo A. Palombo +1 more
TL;DR: A MALDI-TOF MS1-based imipenem hydrolysis assay was modified by adding ZnSO4 to improve detection of metallo-β-lactamase producing strains without compromising detection of other carbapenemase types.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular characterization of gastrointestinal microbiota in children with autism (with and without gastrointestinal dysfunction) and their neurotypical siblings
Journal ArticleDOI
The biology and epidemiology of human autoviruses
TL;DR: Human astroviruses (HAstV) are now recognised as important causes of acute gastroenteritis in young children world-wide and the extent of genetic variability of clinical isolates is revealed, with HAstV-1 seems to be the predominant type with varied distribution of the other types.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mercury in vaccines from the Australian childhood immunization program schedule
TL;DR: Although the levels of Hg detected are substantially lower than any established exposure safety limits, the results of this study reveal that inaccuracies exist in public health messages, professional communications, and official documentation regarding Hg content in at least one childhood vaccine.
