Aminoborohydrides. 2. Regiospecific reductions of α, β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds with lithium pyrrolidinoborohydride. A facile conversion of α, β-unsaturated aldehydes and ketones to the corresponding allylic alcohols in high purity
TL;DR: In this article, LiPyrrBH3 was used to reduce α, β-unsaturated aldehydes and ketones to the corresponding allylic alcohols.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lithium aluminum hydride-N-methylpyrrolidine complex. 1. Synthesis and reactivity of lithium aluminum hydride-N-methyplyrrolidine complex. An air and thermally stable reducing agent derived from lithium aluminum hydride
TL;DR: A 1:1 lithium aluminum hydride-N-methylpyrrolidine complex (LAHNMP) as discussed by the authors is a powerful reducing agent, comparable to LHA in its reducing properties, which reduces esters, lactones, anhydrides and carboxylic acids to corresponding alcohols.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lithium Aluminum Hydride‐N‐methylpyrrolidine Complex. Part 1. Synthesis and Reactivity of Lithium Aluminum Hydride‐N‐ methylpyrrolidine Complex. An Air and Thermally Stable Reducing Agent Derived from Lithium Aluminum Hydride.
