Journal ArticleDOI
Performance analysis of composite ply orientation in aeronautical application of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) NACA4415 wing
Ernnie Illyani Basri,Mohamed Thariq Hameed Sultan,M. Faizal,Adi Azriff Basri,Mohd Firdaus Abas,M.S. Abdul Majid,J. S. Mandeep,Kamarul Arifin Ahmad +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors deal with the layerwise finite element model for static structural analysis of a CFRP laminated composite of a UAV wing and compare the results for different orientation of ply combinations which contributed to the high performance of composite materials that exhibit both orthotropic strength and stiffness properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fluid Structure Interaction on Paravalvular Leakage of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation Related to Aortic Stenosis: A Patient-Specific Case
Adi Azriff Basri,Mohammad Zuber,Ernnie Illyani Basri,Muhammad Shukri Zakaria,Ahmad Fazli Abdul Aziz,Masaaki Tamagawa,Kamarul Arifin Ahmad +6 more
TL;DR: The result proved that the smallest percentage of GOA opening produced the highest possibility of paravalvular leakage, increased the recirculatory flow proximally to the inner wall of the ascending aorta, and produced lower backflow velocity streamlines through the side area of PVL region.
Journal ArticleDOI
Conceptual design and simulation validation based finite element optimisation for tubercle leading edge composite wing of an unmanned aerial vehicle
Ernnie Illyani Basri,Faizal Mustapha,Mohamed Thariq Hameed Sultan,Adi Azriff Basri,Mohd Firdaus Abas,Mohd Shukry Abdul Majid,Kamarul Arifin Ahmad +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a finite element model is developed to determine deformation and stresses on a composite wing of a UAV with a tubercle design at the leading edge of the wing.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Hemodynamic Effects of Paravalvular Leakage Using Fluid Structure Interaction; Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation Patient
Adi Azriff Basri,Muhammad Zuber,Muhammad Zuber,Mohamad Shukri Zakaria,Mohamad Shukri Zakaria,Ernnie Illyani Basri,Ahmad Fazli Abdul Aziz,Rosli Mohd Ali,Masaaki Tamagawa,Kamarul Ariffin Ahmad +9 more
Computational fluid dynamics study in biomedical applications: a review
Ernnie Illyani Basri,Adi Azriff Basri,Vizy Nazira Riazuddin,Siti Farhana Shahwir,Mohammad Zuber,Kamarul Arifin Ahmad +5 more
TL;DR: The essential methodology of CFD as a reliable tool for researchers and medical scientist in understanding the physiology and pathophysiology of cardiovascular system and respiratory system through simulation is discussed.
