A novel matrix multiplication based LSB substitution mechanism for data security and authentication

Today, most of the information shared across the globe is in multimedia form like audio, video and image. With increased globalization, any type of such information can be broadcasted throughout the world easily and is accessible to multiple users for varied applications. This may lead to fraudulent claiming of data ownership which makes copyright protection a major priority in today's world. Digital Watermarking serves as a prime solution to copyright protection where we embed watermark into digital image which serves as an authenticator. In this paper, we proposed a hybrid algorithm using Image segmentation, SVD (Singular value decomposition), DWT (Discrete wavelet transformation), Homomorphic filtering and RSA encryption technique that helps to overcome various threats. Here, we proposed a new approach of digital watermarking by embedding two segmented watermarks which are obtained using two distinct threshold values on the original watermark. These threshold values are sent as secret keys to the receiver using Diffie-Hellman key exchange algorithm and can be used at the time of copyright verification. This approach of hybrid technique is being tested by applying Gaussian Noise and it gave the best results when compared with the other digital watermarking techniques

Image Segmentation Based Hybrid Watermarking Algorithm for Copyright Protection

The success of internet technology transform the world of technology and fashioned our life such a lot easier. The matter of duplication and unauthorized use of information become a great threat within the field of technology. To beat these problems, techniques like digital watermarking, steganography and cryptography were introduced. The approach of embedding a secret data associated with the digital signal inside the signal itself is digital watermarking. For embedding and detecting the watermark different techniques are used; spatial domain techniques like Least Significant Bit (LSB) and Patch Work Algorithm, then the frequency domain techniques such as Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) are some of them. Combination of DCT & DWT technique for digital watermarking is proposed here. The proposed methodology is implemented in MATLAB 2017a simulator and result is analysed using evaluation parameters like Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) & Mean Square Error (MSE). PSNR value obtained for the case of watermarking using DWT is 27.46 and MSE value is 17.45. The value of PSNR for watermarking using DCT is 41.4 and for MSE the value is 0.67. The PSNR and MSE values obtained for watermarking using LSB technique is 50.55 and 0.58. The proposed method improves the watermarked image quality and the MSE & PSNR value obtained is 0.52 and 51.017 respectively.

Image Security Enhancement using DCT & DWT Watermarking Technique

Cryptography is a technique to secure communication or exchange messages between one user with another user, by encrypting the message to be sent guaranteed to be safe from eavesdroppers because the message is equipped with a key that is not possessed by the eavesdropper. One encryption method that can guarantee the security of communication is Ciphertext-Police Attribute Based Encryption (CP-ABE). CP-ABE belongs to the type of public key encryption where the secret key of the user and the ciphertext depends on the user’s attributes such as place of birth, position in the organization and other attributes. Ciphertext can only be described if the set of user key attributes matches the ciphertext attribute. This paper discusses CP-ABE performance on notebook devices. Evaluation is carried out on two notebook devices namely MacBook Air (Intel Core i5 1.8Ghz, 8GB RAM) with the MacOS Sierra operating system version 10.12.6. and MacBook Air (Intel Core i5 1.4Ghz, 4GB RAM) with the MacOS Mojave operating system version 10.14.6. Evaluation is carried out on the encryption process and description with the number of attributes from 1 to 30 attributes, with the calculation of the average number of executions, memory and notebook device power. The evaluation results show that the more antributes used as a data access policy, the longer the encryption and description execution time needed, and the more memory and power used. Effect of the largest number of attributes on the average execution time, and power consumption of notebook devices, but not significant on memory usage. Nevertheless CP-ABE is suitable for use in notebook devices.

Ciphertext-Police Attribute Based Encryption Performance on Notebook Device

Digital Image Security is still or recent topic of research in computer science engineering. Images are sharing very frequently from one device to another device. Due to this functionality and features it is very complicated situation for all of the application users because users share their personal images publically. A very unsolvable problem is still there is no appropriate method for image security to identify ownership with the image sharing tool over the internet. The digital image watermarking is still appreciable and demandable techniques. Though it is still in research because it has to be utilizing with all the applications those work with images. This research is done to find the best digital watermarking technique to highly secure digital image form the illegal copies. The research work also done to analyze the possibilities of dual watermarking. Various standard research articles were studied and it is found that dual watermarking is possible with some situation. This research work motivates and offers different combinations on digital watermarking techniques in near future for efficient output of watermarking.

Unbreakable digital watermarking using combination of LSB and DCT

Cloud Computing is a talented model which based on cloud services and cloud providers. Cloud computing allows user to slightly store their data in server side. Cloud computing provides services which provides services on demand and anywhere. In data storage data security and privacy are the critical issues which provide data confidentiality and access control. Attribute based encryption is a prominent technique to which provides security and privacy in cloud computing environment. Data is encrypted and managed by data owner which eliminates data replication in cloud environment. In ABE there are many properties for encryption data which generates public key and used to control access to the user. In this survey we used access structures which are monotonic and non-monotonic etc.ABE techniques are analyzed for the cloud computing environment. In this paper we review the various scheme for encryption and finally we made a comparison by taking some criteria in the respect of cloud computing.
