TL;DR: Investigating whether toll like receptor 4 (TLR4) gene is associated with subclinical mastitis in Holstein cows from a property in the state of Goiás, Brazil found animals that had the combined genotypes AACCCC, GGTCGG and GACCGC presented the lowest somatic cell scores have the potential to be applied as molecular markers for assisted animal selection to improve milk quality.
