The Effects of Drillstring-Eccentricity, -Rotation, and -Buckling Configurations on Annular Frictional Pressure Losses While Circulating Yield-Power-Law Fluids
Oney Erge,Evren Ozbayoglu,Stefan Z. Miska,Mengjiao Yu,Nicholas Takach,Arild Saasen,Roland May +6 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Dynamic stress distribution around the wellbore influenced by surge/swab pressure
TL;DR: In this paper, an elastodynamics model and a poroelastodynamic model have been established to overcome the deficiencies of the conventional method to calculate wellbore stress without considering the coupled effect of deformation-diffusion.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Frictional Pressure Loss Estimation of Non-Newtonian Fluids in Realistic Annulus With Pipe Rotation
Evren Ozbayoglu,Mehmet Sorgun +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed correction factors for determining the frictional pressure losses accurately in eccentric horizontal annulus for non-Newtonian fluid, including the effect of pipe rotation.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Cuttings Transport with Foam in Horizontal & Highly-Inclined Wellbores
Journal ArticleDOI
Poroelastic modeling of cutting rock in pressurized condition
TL;DR: In this paper, a cutting model based on the theory of linear poroelasticity was developed to predict coupled stresses and pore pressure in the rock and give a better understanding of the poro-elastic effect in the cutting process.
