The invention relates to a method for measuring the cadmium content in an environmental sample. The method can be used for measuring the cadmium content in the environmental sample by adopting an ICP plasma atomic emission spectrometry and comprises the steps of: firstly adding a certain amount of acid solution into a cadmiferous environmental sample for digestion in a digestion tank, and then adding a certain amount of solution after cooling to be at room temperature for digestion in the digestion tank; after adding a mixed solution of nitric acid and sulfuric acid into the digested solution, placing the mixed digested solution on an electric heating plate for heating and digestion until thick white smoke is discharged, taking down the digested solution, cooling the digested solution to be at the room temperature, and then adding potassium permanganate solution and a little amount of water; and placing the digested solution on the electric heating plate for heating and digestion until the thick white smoke is discharged once again. The method can be used for measuring the cadmium content by adopting an ICP plasma atomic emission spectrometer, and experimental parameters are reasonably selected according to experimental needs in measurement so as to conveniently, rapidly and accurately measure the cadmium content in the environmental sample. The detection limit of the cadmium content in the method is 0.10-0.15mu g/kg, and the needs of production and living can be satisfied.

SOLUTION: The electroless nickel plating 2 is applied to a plate material 1, and part of the electroless nickel plating 2 is exfoliated by generating a crack thereon, and a sample for element concentration analysis is collected from the exfoliated part. The collected sample is dissolved into an acid solvent to generate sample solution 4, and the sample solution 4 is introduced into an inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometer 10 or an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer, to thereby perform concentration analysis of the sample in the sample solution 4, namely, a prescribed element such as lead or cadmium included in the electroless nickel plating 2.
