Journal ArticleDOI

Time series analysis of sperm concentration in fertile men in Toulouse, France between 1977 and 1992

TL;DR: Sperm concentration has not changed with time in the Toulouse area, contrary to the Parisian results, which were recently confirmed in the Paris area of France.
Journal ArticleDOI

Clinical and biological characteristics of infertile men with a history of cryptorchidism.

TL;DR: Comparisons showed that among the infertile men with a history of cryptorchidism, 45% had an abnormally high scrotal temperature, which represented a pejorative risk factor for fertility in this group, since it was associated with a more severely impaired spermatogenesis and a higher incidence of primary infertility.
Journal ArticleDOI

Inconstant ascending testis as a potential risk factor for spermatogenesis in infertile men with no history of cryptorchism.

TL;DR: In infertile men, spermatogenesis was more depressed in cases of testicular ascent than when both testes were never ascending, independently of a varicocele, and testis ascent could be a risk factor for sperMatogenesis in infertiles men without any history of maldescended testicle.
Journal ArticleDOI

Approche clinique d'une OAT

TL;DR: Semen infection, a difficult diagnosis mainly based on bacteriospermia and leukospermia, could benefit from other diagnosis tools such as echography of the male reproductive tract and biochemical markers of the seminal plasma.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cryptorchidie et infertilité masculine

TL;DR: Data from the literature are reviewed concerning spermatogenesis, fatherhood and infertility in men with a history of cryptorchidism, and the discrepancy of the results is such important that only prospective and multicentric studies involving various experts seem to be appropriate to approach the complex problems arising from the maldescended testis.
