Journal ArticleDOI
The synthesis of (N2O2S2)-Schiff base ligands and investigation of their ion extraction capability from aqueous media.
TL;DR: Two new Schiff bases (I) and (II) containing nitrogen-sulfur-oxygen donor atoms were designed and synthesized in a multi-step reaction sequence and revealed a synergistic effect of this donors on extraction of UO2(2+) and Hg2+ by the studied Schiff base (I).
Journal ArticleDOI
Solvent extraction of chromium and copper using Schiff base derived from terephthaldialdehyde and 5-amino-2-methoxy-phenol
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of chloroform and nitrobenzene as organic solvents on the metal chlorides extraction was investigated at 25 −± 0.1 °C by using flame atomic absorption.
Journal ArticleDOI
The synthesis of N2O2-Schiff base ligand and bulk liquid membrane transport of Cu2+
TL;DR: In this paper, the transport of copper ion across a bulk chloroform membrane containing (N 2 O 2 ) as carrier has been studied and the parameters influencing the transport efficiency such as composition of receiving phase, pH of the feed phase, carrier concentration in the membrane, EDTA concentration, effect of stirring speed and effect of temperature and time dependency of the process were studied and discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of macrocyclic bis-hydrazone and their use in metal cations extraction.
TL;DR: The effect of chloroform and dichloromethane as organic solvents over the metal chlorides extraction was investigated at 25 ± 0.1°C by using flame atomic absorption and found differences between the twosolvents in extraction selectivity.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Synthesis and Characterization of New Schiff Bases and Investigating them in Solvent Extraction of Chromium and Copper
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of chloroform, dichloromethane, and nitrobenzene as organic solvents over the metal chlorides extraction was investigated at 25 −± 0.1°C by using flame atomic absorption.
