Journal ArticleDOI

Review of Lithium Production and Recovery from Minerals, Brines, and Lithium-Ion Batteries

TL;DR: In this article, Li-ion batteries are widely employed in portable electric devices, electric vehicles, and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), indicating a potential increasing demand for rechargeable lithium ion batteries.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective recovery of valuable metals from industrial waste lithium-ion batteries using citric acid under reductive conditions: Leaching optimization and kinetic analysis

TL;DR: In this article, a simple and economical leaching process based on citric acid system was developed for the leaching of metals from the industrial waste lithium-ion batteries without the manual separation of current collectors, i.e. copper and aluminum foils.
