Journal ArticleDOI

Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation Using the Original Periosteum-Cover Technique Versus Matrix-Associated Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation A Randomized Clinical Trial

TL;DR: There was no difference in the efficacy between the original and the advanced ACI technique 12 and 24 months after surgery regarding International Knee Documentation Committee, Tegner Activity Score, and Short Form-36; however, with respect to the Lysholm and Gillquist score, better efficacy was observed in the periosteal flap technique group.
Journal ArticleDOI

Epidural corticosteroid injection in the conservative management of sciatica.

TL;DR: Epidural corticosteroid injections can be recommended as additional therapy only in the acute phase of the conservative management of lumbosciatic pain, although not statistically significant for pain relief and mobility.
Journal ArticleDOI

Results of cemented total shoulder replacement with a minimum follow-up of ten years.

TL;DR: With the implants, cementation, and surgical technique utilized in this group of patients with primary glenohumeral osteoarthritis, radiographic loosening of the glenoid component and rotator cuff deficiency were very common at the ten to fifteen-year review.
Journal ArticleDOI

CD4+CD25+/highCD127low/- regulatory T cells are enriched in rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis joints—analysis of frequency and phenotype in synovial membrane, synovial fluid and peripheral blood

TL;DR: Treg enrichment into the joint compartment is not specific to inflammatory arthritis, as it was similarly enriched in OA, but Treg concentration in SM was significantly higher in RA.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mid-term survivorship analysis of a shoulder replacement with a keeled glenoid and a modern cementing technique

TL;DR: One concern was the fact that radiolucent lines increased over time and there was a rate of glenoid loosening of 9% after five years and 33% after nine years, which suggests that the design of the glenoids component, and the implantation and cementing techniques may need further improvement.
