Modified cassava starches as corrosion inhibitors of carbon steel: An electrochemical and morphological approach

TL;DR: In this paper, the physical and chemical modification of cassava starch was carried out to prepare compounds that were evaluated as corrosion inhibitors of carbon steel under alkaline conditions in 200mg −1 NaCl solutions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structure and Thermal Properties of New Comblike Polyamides: Helical Poly(.beta.-L-aspartate)s Containing Linear Alkyl Side Chains

TL;DR: In this paper, the structure and thermal properties of a series of comb-like polyamides derived from nylon 3, poly(α-n-alkyl β-L-aspartate)s (n being the number of carbons in the linear alkyl side group) with n = 6, 8, 12, 18, and 22, were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Coincident or sequential crystallization of PCL and PEO blocks within polystyrene-b-poly(ethylene oxide)-b-poly(ε-caprolactone) linear triblock copolymers

TL;DR: In this paper, the behavior of the crystallizable blocks within polystyrene-b -poly(ethylene oxide)- b -poly (e-caprolactone) linear triblock copolymers is studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Conformational analysis of helical poly(beta-L-aspartate)s by IR dichroism.

TL;DR: The right‐handed conformation consisting of 14‐membered hydrogen‐bonded rings is the correct model for the 13/4‐helix, giving definite support to earlier molecular mechanics calculations, which had shown that the 2R model is energetically favored over the 1L by about 2.
