Action Potential Generation in an Anatomically Constrained Model of Medial Superior Olive Axons
Simon Lehnert,Marc C. Ford,Olga Alexandrova,Franziska Hellmundt,Felix Felmy,Benedikt Grothe,Christian Leibold +6 more
TL;DR: Using a morphologically constrained computational model of the MSO axon, it is shown that these thin axons facilitate the excitability of the AIS, and for ongoing high rates of synaptic inputs the model generates a substantial fraction of APs in its nodes of Ranvier.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phase precession of grid cells in a network model without external pacemaker.
TL;DR: A computational model of how the coexistence of rate and timing code for space follows as a natural consequence of the self‐organization in a recurrent network is presented.
Influence of Afterpotentials on the Recovery Cycle Modeling the Excitability of Mammalian Nerve Fibers
